Instructions for the Tourist for a Day Webquest
This page will provide you with all of the information you need to complete the project as well as where to do research.
For this project you will form groups of 3 and you will collaborate on the itinerary. Philadelphia is a city rich in history, especially American History. Philadelphia was home at one time, to some of our most recognized Founding Fathers: Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. Please investigate this beautiful city and all that it has to offer.
This webquest is intended to give you a better understanding of American History and Philadelphia's significance to that history. This webquest will also help you sharpen your skills with money, geopgraphy, and consumer science. Please look into places in Philadelphia that you may not be familiar with: Elfreth's Alley, The American Philsopohical Society(which was begun by Benjamin Franklin), Edgar Allen Poe House, and Christ Church are some of the most historic sites in Philadelphia that you may not have been aware. Please make use of the resources available to you and plan an interesting trip.

What To Do
- Plan a Trip To Philadelphia
- Make sure you visit at least 3 Historic Sites
- Make sure you visit at least 1 restaurant, cafe, or eatery
- Please include the cost of your tickets, transportation, and food. As well as a timeline for all events.
- Present it in a colorful informational packet, Be CREATIVE!!!
- Please include an explanation with each site visited as to why it is important to history

- Visit to a restaurant, eatery, or cafe-10%
- Report which includes all costs and explanations-50%
- Presentation of information-15%
- Whole Group Participation-5%
- The Group Will Be Graded as a Whole
